Ricci Melendez

A longtime New Jersey entrepreneur, Ricci Melendez works in home renovation, automation, and the implementation of advanced enterprise IT systems. Working closely with IbuildI.T customers at the ground level, he designs, builds, and finishes kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. This wok includes cable infrastructure, networks, and speaker, voice, and data wiring. Ricci Melendez designs home theater systems for specific spaces and has handled projects ranging from a wet bar with kegs and a beer tap to home security alarm systems.

Mr. Melendez also guides SMDR Associates and consults with clients and contracted teams worldwide in designing cost-effective network systems. His work builds on decades of leadership experience with Bloomberg, LP, and he oversaw network engineering projects across the Americas. One of his accomplishments was setting up a wireless system for NYC campus offices that ultimately saw worldwide deployment.

Active in his community, Mr. Melendez serves on the Sayreville Recreation Advisory Board and helps develop a wide range of programs that meet the needs of seniors and youth. He is also a Pop Warner youth football coach who previously served on the organization's board. Industry-focused, Ricci Melendez attends major IT events such as the Cisco Partner Summit.
